Title: longbow to tha ribs
Post by: surfsquatch on July 17, 2008, 01:24:00 AM
hello yall, new to this great list here, quick story... my old man gave me his old flipperstick take down- the riser insert pulled out at full draw
and took  a few brain cells with the upper limb and broke my rib with the lower.  darn fine bow before this happened. the thing pulled out clean. does anyone know if the bowyer is still around? would love to have him check it out and fix it. thanks in advance for
your help. squatch.

thanks for the input guys, if you guys ever find yourselves in austin
lets shoot up some stumps or a wild hog or two. no blame on the bowyer, wood can do funny things over 10 or more years. thanks again.

You might also contact Bob Sarrels in Canyon, Tx.  He is one great bowyer and a great guy to boot. Don't shoot any of his bows though...You will most likely buy it if you do.  :goldtooth:

I think that bow was built by Herb Meland of Pronghorn bows for the old "Butlers field sports" out of Wyoming? Maybe? Try contacting Pronghorn.

Yep, It was made by Herb Meland of Pronghorn Bows in Casper, Wyoming. He's still in business making great bows. I'll be he could fix it for you.
