Try the "How-to" section. There's several excellent tutorials on snake skinning.

I won't skin a bow "without" applying several coats of the Minimax spar urethane Eaglefeather. Especially when using osage for a bow. Great moisture barrier (from the wet skin)! Just score your finish good with 120-180 grit paper and glue 'er down. -ART B

Art B, what kind of glue do you like to use?

I like the Tite-bond II or III Sal. This glue adheres very well to varnishes if proprely prepared. I use it to glue on leather grips/rests/plates as well.-ART

do you wrap the skins to hold them or just let them dry on the glue?

No wrapping required Sal. Just brush on an even coat of glue on the bow's limb and skin. Apply skin (one limb at a time) to the bow and squeegee out any excess glue or air pockets using your fingers. Once that limb is dry enough to handle you can start on the other limb. ART B
