NICE!
Ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! :wavey:
Whewwww! Look out elk. That mammoth stirs my imagination whenever I hold it.Im on a "list" for another Griffin and I think Id like mammoth tips as well.Thats one of the nicest Shrews Ive ever seen.Ill take it when you tire of it!!! :bigsmyl:
They don't get any prettier than that! Congratulations on a great bow.
yes I would definitely say you got shrewed on that deal. I'll be glad to rid you of that awful looking bent stick!
I know you will be chasing elk with that and we want to see some pictures come late september.
Beautiful bow Dave! That should be a joy to carry in your walks to the elk haunts this fall!
Sweet bow!!!
Thats some very cool stuff Dave!!! Nice job by all involved in the craftsmanship!!!
Dave, sweet bow, I might have to get on that waiting list.
Wow Great looking bow! I received my 56" 48 at 27" SuperShrew brown deluxe at lunch also! I am beyond happy it's not as fancy as yours but she is beautifull, well built and finished to a very high level of workmanship. Most important The Supershrew draws so ultra smooth it surpised me. I have never had a bow that drawed this smooth yet. I can't wait to shoot it this evening work is going to drag by slow all afternoon now.
great looking shrew.....
That is just sooo disgusting!
:bigsmyl:
My goodness, but those lams are some of the most incredible grain figure I've ever seen. I thought 1/4 sawn locust was great...but that is insane! I love it!
Be still my heart!
Great looking bow. Congrats!!
Nice grain and character, gotta love that.
That is outstanding. Gotta get one!
Outstanding combo Dave! I really like the curly birch a lot, bet it blends in like nobodies business! Fantastic!
Nice lookin' bow there. Good Luck with her.
Mammoth Ivory, I want some of that. That ivory adds Prehistoric Mojo to a Bow.
Want some of that,
Brian G
Speechless,wow!
Thats just Shrewy :knothead:
Congrats  pretty bow...
Very nice looking bow.
Dang that's purty!
Bian - you got it with the mojo of mammoth ivory. As a crazy one "stuck in the Pleistocene," nothing could contain more power and magic -- and one (this one) must hope, good "luck." In a "realistic" sense, the standard Shrew antler tips look better, and cost less since I bought the ivory and sent it to Gregg. But every time I look at it, or feel its barklike texture (I purposely bought exterior rather than pure-white interior tusk), I am transported back to the time of my dreams. "Got my mojo workin', and I hope it works for me" ... and all this silly effusiveness from one who generally don't give a darn for anything that can be bought. It's good medicine! dave
Holy moly but that is a great looking bow.
Very sweet rig! Those tips are simply awesome. :notworthy:
What a beauty! I reckon an elk'll get Shrewed soon! Have fun!
Oh la la, Dave, that's a beauty, especially the tips, congrats
Can't wait to hear the stories that beautiful combo spins during the elk season...beautiful bow, beautiful armguard, knife, arrow...it does things to the heart that only a hunter can know...
Have you shot your Shrew yet? I shot my new SuperShrew this evening and I can't beleive how easy the 56" bow is to shoot. I don't clam to be a expert I have only owned about 5 longbows 58" to 66" bows in the past and none of them shoot anywhere near as nice as my new SuperShrew. I was shooting the Shrew first time out better than another namebrand longbow I have been shooting almost every day for a couple of weeks now. I truely beleive my shooting will be the best it has ever been after a few weeks of shooting/pratice with the SuperShrew. I can't Thank Ron enough now if deer season will just open!
Dave, what length bow did you end up getting? I think you were looking at 54" and 56". I have a 58" supershrew and it is the quietest bow I have ever shot. Are the shorter ones just as silent?
That could be the prettiest limbs I have ever seen LIFE IS TO SHORT TO SHOOT AN UGLY BOW and that is NO ugly bow.
Bill
Well, your bow will nearly match the beauty of it's hunting surrounding. And hey, as things bought go you can't be blamed for getting a kick out of a bow. 'Specially one like that'n!
SSSSSHHHHHHRRRRRRREEEEWWWWWEEEEE That's purdy!
Quiet, easy to shoot and beautiful to look at. You've got the tiger by the tail.
Don't believe I've ever seen a nicer combination of limb veneers and limb tip overlays. You'll be giddy just carrying that piece in the mountains this fall. You've earned it Dave. Enjoy.
Life is good. Thats a nice looker and since its a Shrew I know its a great shooter. I know I love shooting my Classic Hunter. I just wonder if I can wear it out?
That bow is sweet! Someday, someday I will join the "Order Of The Shrew". Congrats Dave.
Brian
Nice bow Dave!!!!!!
Welcome to the Shrew Crew!!!
QuoteNice bow Dave!!!!!!
Welcome to the Shrew Crew!!!
"The Clan Of The Shrew"
Great looking bow Dave! Glad you were able to secure you some mammoth!
Cam
Hey I belong to the Clan since 2003 and it's Ray Lyon and Brain Cole's fault. Love every minute of. Mike
Welcome to your undoing dave, ya gotta love those shrews! They sure do spoil ya don't they?
Good luck hunting this year!
The Clan Of The Shrew Quote
There's something mystical about this bow
The one they call the SHREW
It seems to have a will of it's own
It knows what it's supposed to do
It melts right into a persons hand
It becomes a part of you
Just look at what you want to hit
and leave the rest up to the SHREW
It's a coveted symbol for serious hunters
Hunters like me and you
You know you've made the top of the list
When you join The Clan Of The SHREW!
Well put Ron!!
Yes Welcome to "The Clan of the Shrew"
Well thats it, I'v got to get one.
"Harmless" ... as in Arnie's "Predator"? Guv Jessee? "Come to old harmless ..." Among my favorite cult fliks, but I hope your luck is better than his! And yes, if you're young enough to wait it out, you need one!
Re other questions, she's 54" and quiet with Cat Whiskers. dave "Shrewed"
awesome shrew, congrats and welcome to the club.
David,
I've been blamed for worse, so if you're shooting Shrew because of me, I take it as a compliment. ;)
You bet Ray. It's hard for me to pick up one of my other 2 bows to shoot. Mike
Nice looking outfit ya got there!
Hot damn, that's pretty! A bow is more thsan just a tool--it should sing to your heart and its singing should be part of your marksmanship...
Dave, That Shrew is beautiful! 41 days until you put her into action. Come on Aug 30. Have you been on any shooting/training missions with the Shrew at the course at Milt's? Wow, I did not know that those bows were so pretty, congrats. T
Congrats Dave, she sure is purdy. 41 days and counting. I can't wait to be heading your way. Every year, elk hunting is special but even moreso this year. My first time for hunting the entire season. :bigsmyl: Hopefully the first of many!!!!! :biglaugh:
Thats a beauty! Congrats! Enjoy and good luck! ;)
