Hello all, I was wondering if anyone uses brass inserts for CX Heritage 150's and if so which ones? I tried some muzzy's I got from cabelas and they were a very tight fit and didn't want to force them and split my arrow! I'm looking for 100gr brass so any help would be appreciated! Thanks
I've been using the 100 grain brass inserts from 3 Rivers, and they work great!
Guss
I get mine from 3-Rivers. Leland
Thanks, are you guys using them in CX Heritage 150's??
We have them too. No need to turn ours down, they fit perfectly.
Yep, 150's.
Have used them in 150 & 250S ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PUT tHEM IN A CORDLESS DRILL AND turn them down till they fit in the shafts witha little clearence for glue I like 24hr epoxy also accurglass gel is excellent never lost an insert with that do not give up this is a simple fix which is better than too large an insert not being square with the shaft good luck ps I almost forgot use a old file of sand papper to turn them down no worries
I use them in the CE 150. I have used the 100 grain inserts for glue on heads ( steel force 125)
And i have used the 1oo gr adapter for screw ins as well and agian I use Steel force 125s
The ones Muzzy makes are sold at 3 Rivers and cabelas and Kustom King they are th esame. I have used them from all the places I mentioned and they have fit my 150's fine. Ya should not need anything but some epoxy and a firm push on a solid table or floor to get them in. Shawn
Thanks Shawn, thats the answer I was looking for, solid confirmation! They seemed a bit to tight to force them, I didn't want to split a shaft! I wasn't sure if forcing them was the right thing to do but it seems thats what it takes it a bit of pressure to make em fit!
Thanks everyone, I appreciate it!
