I couldn't help myself.
New sticks, new string, still haven't decided on a new tab yet -
Setup at 12yrds and started shooting the bag. Thought I'd put up a Vegas target for fun, then I though what the heck, I'll shoot a round. Which became two rounds.
My arms are useless this morning. I could hardly pick up the dog to carry him downstairs (just a puppy). I need to work up to this 50#'s stuff.
This trad stuff is addicting.
:D
Welcome to Traditional archery!!!
My first time I shot my first Longbow, it was about 50 times. Went in and put my wheel bow in the case with the release, etc took a pic and put it on e**y. Now I am in the process of selling the hunting rifles. Traditional all the way.
Happy shooting!!
Duane
Agreed! I hadn't shot a bow in probably 15 years (compounds only, before) and then I got a longbow about 2 months ago. Watching an arrow fly from a trad bow is so much more satisfying than with a wheelie bow. I try to shoot 1/2 hour or so every night. I am really looking forward to hunting with my longbow!
I have been at it for over 2yrs now and I still look forward to shooting my Longbow. The flight of a perfect arrow, watching it fly to the target and hit the mark, what a sight! I try to shoot every day or at least every other day, even if it is 0 degrees outside with a 20-30 MPH wind ( I still get out for at least 12-18 shots). Duane
