Title: Internal footings?
Post by: J-dog on July 13, 2008, 09:51:00 AM
Just looking at a point with a brass insert on it out of the shaft. It is pretty long and with a steel insert it should be pretty tough? anyone tried them against a brick wall or some other rough punishment?   :banghead:

If you are shooting carbons, no it is not that tough. You have to foot the outside of the shaft with an aluminum footing about 1.5"s long. Make sure ya put the footing right to the end of the insert! Shawn

Thanks, was just wondering. shooting in the back yard I am sure I will test one soon enough. Have never used footings on carbons? Maybe next year, got alot going on this year with new arrows and all.
