Hey all,
I'd like to try and make myself a back quiver. I've looked at the plans in the DIY section and it looks simple enough that I might be able to pull it off.
The problem is that I don't know of a single place around me that sells leather like what I would need. Secondly, I don't even know what type of leather would be best for the project.
Can you all give me some ideas as to what type of leather would be best to use in construction of a back quiver and where I can get some?
Thanks for your time.
Nala
For a back quiver I like fairly supple latigo leather that's not too floppy or too stiff, something in the 7-8oz range, but even 6oz or 9oz will work just fine.

I'm going to bookmark those sites!!! I've been looking into this as well!!!
Check your local furniture upholsterer. They can only use large pieces and may have nice size scraps for cheap. I got enough to do two quivers for $20.
I get my leather from Tandy Leather. They have a store within driving distance. I just go in and handle different leathers until I find one I like.
