Just got my Bob Lee back after having it camo-dipped. Came out pretty darn nice. I never thought much of the cosmetic appearance of the Signature or Hunter Series, but this sure is nice. Just wanted to share.

Very Nice!
I have an old Acadian Tree Stick that I think I'm going to have camo dipped. Predator or ASAT camo would be nice also.
dont set it down in the woods, you may never find it again!
That turned out Sweet!!!!! Ya don't walk too far away, might loose it!!
Thanks for sharing!!
I like it!
dang thats sharp ,looks good
looks very well done
Not bad for $100! Didn't show on their site what colors or types of camo are available...
Anyone know?
I believe they only have fall and spring camo. Mine is fall. I believe you can also get different shades.
Looks great,I wouldn't lay it down in the woods you might loose it.
where do you get that done,,,,,,,,jeff

I like it....that is just flat out cool.
How durable of a finish is it, does it have clear over the dip or just the dip coating?
Hey Doc....look under sponsor classifieds...Sipsey River shows the camo colors...give them a call & the guy who actually does it can tell you the other colors he has in stock...i got a wood burl finish on my metal riser..
Randy
I've never really been one for camo'd bows, but that looks pretty darn nice!
Very Sharp!
very nice!!!
When I hear the term, "camo dipped", it reminds me of the standard jokes played on apprentices, such as, "Go to the shop and get another box of spots for the spot welder." Or, "Go to the shop and buy a tin of striped paint."
So, where can I get a tin of Mossey Oak paint from? How does this camo dipping really happen?
Anyway, your bow looks good, BobCo! I don't think I'd get it done on my bows, as I like the wood patterns too much.
Wonder if they can just do the limbs on a 1 piece recurve and leave the riser alone?
Indianalongbow, I'm not sure if sipsey river can do what your're talkin' about, but I saw a 1 pc. Belcher longbow at baltimore that had the limbs dipped but not the riser, and it was sweet!
Very cool! I'm as confused about the "dipping" as Ben but the result is pleasing and very down to business. In the end, I'd guess the guy with the camo bow is the most serious hunter in camp. I think it's cool.
For me it would be a blaze orange camo. Either that or a tie down to myself.
Ok, I just think that is just plain cool. I love it.
Scott
Ben said what I was thinking. How'd they do that?
It looks good, but I'd attach a quiver full of arrows with bright fletchings before I lost it!
indianalongbowshooter , Yes it has 2 coats of Fullerplast over the camo for durability.
Or it can be dipped only for bowyers so they can mark and finish the bow as they wish.
I have a Remington 700 SA in 7mmx08 that is fully dipped...barrel, stock...everthing but the bolt..factory...in some very old fashioned Treebark I think...some of the original stuff I remember seeing.
When I was friends with the guy who owned TruWoods Camo, he had guys doing gun stocks in it.
Just for curiosity, I'd love to see how that is done... it has to be intriguing! :)

Same here, that's why I got it done on a Lee Signature. Action wood limbs and a laiminated riser. :)
Maybe Sipsey could chime in on the process since I know very little.
There have been numerous demonstrations done on outdoor TV shows. It is essentially a thin film floating on a fluid that the object is actually imersed in, and adheres to. Pretty cool, and you would be amazed at what they have done. Might try a search for "How Camo Dipping is Done"
okay, here you go: http://www.camo-solutions.com/camo_process.htm
Sipsey river is in west virgina at the shoot right now Im sure he will chime in once hes back in town .
Great looking bow. Makes me want to send my Quinn Stallion to SRTA for a dipping.
That's looks good
I can't get into that camo on a wood recurve bow.
But if that's what you got a hankerin' for then go for it. Just ain't me 8^(.
Glad you posted this...we talked to them at the Traditional Bowhunters of Florida shoot back in Feb./Mar. I have one of the mainly all fiberglass black Black Widows I want to have this done to. Plan to send an email tonight.

I hear ya George, and I feel about the same. But the Lee Signature Laminations didn't do much for me either.
:)
Well I have a great lil black widow one piece recurve that was all black. We read the threads some years back about many people removing the black paint and refinishing beautiful laminations. It did not work out for us because only the handle was wood....the limbs were white glass. We have had some problems getting the paint to stick when reapplied...so I have a widow with blotchy finish and I think this is just the answer. I got a pm from Lonnie and he is going to take care of it for me. My bow is packed and ready to ship tomorrow.
Sipsey River did this. Look at the Sponsor's Classifieds for info.
After the bow is dipped in the camo finish, it is then sprayed with a clear spay similar to that on any bow. It should prove to be very tuff!
We can do just limbs too. I have four of mine done, they look good.
There's a photo of John's DAS in brown camo and a Turkey Creek T/D in green on the sponsors classifieds under "Camo Dipping"
SWEEEET!!! But...I'd definitely lose that!!!
David
Is the price the same for doing just the limbs or is it a little cheaper?
Limbs only are $65, riser only is $60. Plus $15 shipping for either.
Thats just cool!
Normally I paint my own camo and I'm pretty good at it...but it ain't nothing like that!!!
I think the Predator ASAT would be cool also.
May be time to send in my old POS bow.
Wouldn't it be funny to see one dipped in plaid? ;0)
How 'bout a pic of the whole bow?
BobCo,that settles it!!! My Quinn will be on the way to Sipsey River..Mike..
I like that. Looks very nice. What are the opitions?
