Just thought I would stop and say hi. Just got into trad archery a couple years ago. I shoot a Bear Super Kodiak, kinda wished I got a Martin Hunter but what can you do. Anyway, I'll be browsing around here hoping to further my knowledge and experience with you guys :campfire: .
Steve
Welcome!
Welcome pull up a stump and jump right in.
Im looking into getting a longbow, thoughts on either the Martin Savannah or Bamboo Viper? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Steve
Welcome!! I'm jealous of you, living in Alaska, just can't get the wife to even give it a good thought, lol.
Welcome! The Super Kodiak is a great bow with a tremendous history, enjoy. :D
Welcome Steve, you have found a wealth of knowledge!
Some of the best Bowyers, Archers and Hunters in the world hang around this camp fire.
If you can't find it here it's not out there.
Enjoy!
Wow thanks for the welcome, you guys rock.
Yeah I like my Super K, had the Kodiak Mag before it. Like them both equally well, but I want a Martin. I shot the Hunter at Sportsmans Warehouse, and that bow blew me away. And it was a 55#, just as fast or faster than my 60# Super K.
Steve
Welcome aboard! :wavey: :campfire:
:wavey: Howdy :wavey:
Speed is great, and smoothness is important too. Martins are quick for production bows, and Bears are very smooth. It wouldn't hurt to own and shoot both and take some time to settle in on what you end up liking the most. Then sell the one you don't want.
Anyway, you will find a lot of good information on this site, and great people too.
Welcome to the campfire.
Joe
welcome to the additiction
Although I do like the fact that Bear recurves come with the bow quiver inserts. I may stick with my Super K.
I do want a good, stable, powerful longbow to boot.
How's the Savannah, and where can I get a 65#'er from?
Steve
Welcome to the camp! If you don't mind a suggestion, take a look in the classifieds of this forum before you spend money on a new Martin. Mind you, there's nothing wrong with Martin bows but you can probably pick up a custom in great shape for less money. Just a thought.
John
Welcome to the gang! ;)

I'll be looking. Looking for a 65+ pound longbow, if you guys see anything give me a hollar.
Steve
It is fun!
Steve,
You might try posting a WTB (Want To Buy) under Traditional Bows in the classifieds. That way you can state what you are looking for and it will save you from looking through all the ads.
John
Sounds like a plan.
Steve
