Title: string slap theory
Post by: Ian johnson on July 06, 2008, 08:39:00 AM
would the string slap from a curve with static tips be quieter than a conventional curve because the string comes in contact with less limb, do you guys find static tips quieter?

I have an Assenheimer recurve which I think is considered a semi-static tip and it's the quietest recurve I've ever shot. Yep, it seems the less contact the string makes with the bow the quieter it shoots.
