Well after being bitten by the traditional bug i decided i would try my hand at knapping too. I alread built the bow...but what a bow without any arrows? This is my first attempt at flint knapping-besides some terrible john-stone. I started with a 20# block of upper mercer flint i traded a beaver hide for. But when i started to spall it, it was so full of cracks i couldnt make anything from it....just crumbled. So a buddy gave me a few pieces of mill creek chert.

and i took my time and chipped away. after breaking 1 really nice point i got this.

a little more refinement. and its starting to look good.

but it broke. So thats just the way the cookie crumbles, no?

but it wasnt all bad. i was able to manage a decent point. OAL 2" and 1.25" wide
