Has anyone tried one of these and do they work well for woodies with field tips or broadheads?
Thanks!
Lance
Haven't used that, but I use a cheap kids metal detector and it has paid for itself a couple times over.
I've got a cheap metal detector from Harbor Freight. It works great and has saved me lots of money. Pretty hard to find wood arrows though. That field point is a small target unless you know exactly where to search.

I have one and it's great for Aluminum Arras....
It has definetly paid for it's self....As mentiond above, it's harder to find the woodys with a field tip, small target to find....
I use a screw on hook that I bought from a vendor at ETAR and it gets under the ground and it really helps find the lost shafts. I think it cost around $5.00.
Ditto StickBowManMI - just got one at Sawmill shoot in PA..... my old method was to take off my shoes and socks and feel for them with my toes. Good for the lawn, but painful/dangerous elsewhere.... also wasn't fun when I put one under the snow during winter shooting.....
i use a snake hook.
when i go stumpin i always take my snake hook.
1. for snakes :) i like snakes
2. and for finding runnaway arras
just rake the hook across the ground, and u can just tell by the feel its an arrow when you hit one.
I use my feet too....works really well on proper footwear!
