How many use butcher's wax on your laminated bows? Is it safe to use?
Steve I still have a can of this wax from the 1960's. I have used it on bows, arrows and even the bad word ( compound bows ) I just put it on and rub / polish it off. Some of my buddies use a good auto wax and this seems to work just as well. It seems to take off dirt, leave the item clean and water will bead up on the item. It even makes arrow easier to pull from a 3D targets.

Thanks, Bill... actually I've been using Butcher's wax on my laminated bows for years. I read on another forum a while back about someone who waxed his new bow and it de-laminated on him??? :scared: Go figure? :saywhat:
So just wanted to double check and see if anyone had any bad experiences or not.
I have used it for over 10 years without a problem. Still using the same can and the same bow.
Steve,
I've got 16 oz of it on order!
Thanks!
Bill
Thank you, Gents! For the feedback!
I've been using this stuff for 15yrs without a problem at all. In fact I've had the same 1lb can all this time. I swear by the stuff. Worth every penny.
Whats this stuff for? Cleaning your bow?
Brian, yes I use it for cleaning and protecting the finish on my bows, since I'm pretty rough on them during hunting season.
