When you go to pick up your favorite "hybrid" one piece longbow to go hunting, which "one" do you pick up? I mean the one you shoot broadheads with!!! and why!
Toelke Whip. Why? Because it just fits. Grip is perfect for me and that is most important...Mike
56" Little Grizzly one of my favorites by Jack Kemph nice grip shoots where I look going to try it on moose this fall :bigsmyl: :archer:
JK traditions Kanati. Its light in the hand, draws smooth, has a sweet grip and throws an arrow ....Its a bargain to boot.....Curt
Ditto what curtinmo said. I love my Kanati for all the same reasons.
i would pick up my shane hyme hybridif he would ever finish it. being friends with a bowyer has its perks but man it sucks when they put you on the backburner because your friends and its "ok".
My Ed Mikuta custom longbow
Would a Thunderstick MOAB be considered a hybrid? If so, it get's my vote.
Yeah, Jason, I'd call a MOAB a hybrid, and a very good one, too. I'm still liking my Selway/Centaur Lil Mag, 58", 54 lb @ 26". The grip fits me very well, it's stable and easy to shoot, relatively quiet and fast even at 11 gr/lb.
ANYONE I HAVEN'T SHOT YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Elburg. Enough said.
God bless,
Jose
Moab for sure!
SL
newly traded for a Cari-bow Featherhorn that is showing up to be my best one-piece longBow. Shoots a variety of weights and very forgiving. ( for a 3 piece love them Pronghorns, more mass weight in handle)
My 68" Longhorn hybrid longbow built by Jim Belcher.
MOAB
SHREW!
When I shot a hybrid, it was a Morrison Dakota. Excellent bow.

Dakota is one of the few LB's I can shoot well. I'm a curve guy by nature.
JL
striker stinger.... Because Its the only one I have..
60" Sky Archery Rogue...my first "new" bow...
My 58 inch BlackCreek Banshee. You can pay a lot more for a bow but in my opinion not end up with a lot more bow. For the money you can't beat Jim Gaineys BlackCreek bows.
64" Black Widow PLX.
60'or 62" RER Vortex.
62" Turkey Creek 44#@28
Sutto
I've owned a bunch of them, and shot a lot more. But I just received a Fox Royal Crown and it is at the top of the list of any for me.
A 70" 21st Century.If I need a short bow the 62" Turkey Creek gets the spot.
Another vote for the Shrew!!
and a Peregrine Cari-bow ain't bad!
(original) 54" Shrew
64" 52#@29" Black Widow PLGA, Osage
David
Let's see. In the last year I have owned, shot, and hunted with the following hybrid bows:
Hummingbird Alpha-Male, 62" 50@28
Treadway takedown, 58" 49@28
Kohannah Fury Longbow, 62" 49@28
Martin Savannah, 62" 50@28
My favorite, go-to bow of this style is........................................................
The lowly, so called "production" Savannah from Martin Archery.
Any one of the several I've made myself that hasn't yet blown up.
It is going to be my New Treadway Forward handle design...

Matlock Predator X Longbows. Fast and smooth, these bows are awesome. Somewhat overlooked in my opinion. Milt Beens at Wildcat Canyon Archery introduced me to these bows and they just fit right to me. If my BW PL III wasn't a takedown, it would definately qualify. Great Bows!
I can't pick just one. It comes down to two that I let get away from me. A 58", 48#@28" Dale Stahl hybrid longbow, Bocote riser, actionboo lams and Bocote veneers. The second was a Fox Royal Crown, Cocobolo riser, Actionboo laminations, 62" and I don't recall the draw weight, but I think it, too, was 48#@28".
Bill
An old Rasmussen Flatbow. It fits me well and shoots where I point it.

Thunderstick Mag.
I just love to shoot those carbon Centaurs!! They are fast and smooth!!

I've had the following hybrids:
Elberg Jaguar Special
Thunderhorn Heart Stopper
54"Black Forest by Michael Tredway
Thunder Stik M.O.A.B.
The M.O.A.B is my favorite(with or without broadheads)!!
Shrew or Kanati
They just fit me well!!
Matlock Predator X!
#1- Mine ("Solstice longbows")
#2- (tie) Centaur, Thunderhorn, Shrew, RER, Kanati
Centaur!

I only have one LB also and it happens to be a Savannah like yours...#50@28. I shot some Beman 400's last night with brass inserts and 200 grain field points and it was thumping them in there.
for the most part I have been using Beman 500's with 145 gr.

60" 56# @ 28" longhorn .. Belcher bows.. :readit:
Shawn.
Treadway Black Forrest
54" Treadway Black Forrest, 50@ 28. Seems to shoot as accurate as my 66" lonbows.
Moab
My 2 bows
My favorite is my current bow, a 56" 48# Lost Creek hybrid longbow. Blistering fast, whisper quiet, and more accurate than I am. The Treadway longbows and RER Vortex longbows are also very good hybrids.
Massie Longhorn or my Griffin .
Griffin's
'nuther vote for the Griffins!!!

Got to be my Roy Hall Apache. Love that bow!!!
Ed :archer:
But of course, it's right at the top of this page,,,, "TOMAHAWK" !!
The cool thing is that in most cases our favourite hybrid is simply what we've got!
Which goes to show that you darn-near can't go wrong, no matter your choice!
I'd have to say my Griffins...Doc
