Title: Removing paint from arrows. What's the best way?
Post by: flatlander37 on July 01, 2008, 02:09:00 PM
Hey guys, I recently got a greta deal os some used 2216's off ****.  They have paint on them from cresting and I am gonna put some Tradgang wraps on these, but don't wanna go into the woods this fall smellin' like paint thinner.  Is there anything else to use that doesn't smell, or something I can use after the paint thinner to get rid of the smell?  Thanks in advance, Mark

Mark, paint thinner is the best way or a dull razor blade, the smell will not stay on them and if your worried about i just wash them in some hot soap/water..metal usually wont hold a odor for along time, I clean my arrows with thinner and by hunting season there is no smell, even after a week or two theres nothing..
