I've had two new Crow Creek Black Feather longbows. I let both of them slip through my fingers. At long last, I now have purchased a used Crow Creek from sticshooter/Frank. It'll be headed my way today. Below are some pics of it:

Thanks everyone that saw this bow before I did and didn't buy it! ;) :D :biglaugh:

Nice looking bow. I too am a Crow Creek fan.
I sold my first one to the owner of the Archery Shop where I go to shoot nearly every Saturday on his indoor range. He sold 8 news after that by just having his hanging on a hook on the range.
Mind you his primary customer base is compound shooters. Budro has a Marriah Thermal, a Dale Stahl T/D recurve (which I sold to him) and the Blackfeather which I sold to him. He also has a host of 15 or so other one piece and T/D recurves and I think one longbow in his shop.
I shot his Blackfeather Saturday and it brought back great memories. Then I saw the Crow Creek Frank had listed and couldn't resist it.

Beauty of a bow. Good Luck with it.
I shot a crow creek for the first time about 3 weeks ago and was very impressed.Very quiet and smooth.I seen this bow for sale and thought it would make someone a great bow.Good hunting

hill boy,
I'm glad your thought process didn't go "This will make me a great bow!" If you had bought it, I wouldn't have had the chance! ;) :D

Bill,
Is this archery shop that you do business with in SC? If so, I need to ride down and check him out.
Doug
Good Luck with the new bow.

Doug,
I've bought one Crow Creek through him, and sold my first Crow Creek and my first Dale Stahl T/D recurve to him. I've had 80+ bows shipped to his shop over the past 6 years or so.

oh yeah!!! a real nice bow indeed sir.
Crow Creek is hard to beat in a 3 peice longbow and Elmer is one heck of a bowyer to deal with . I cant say enough about him and his bows .

I picked up the Crow Creek Black Feather at the Archery Shop during lunch today. I want to say a big thank you to Frank and Shell. They built me a gorgeous set of antler knobs that really set off the bow. They don't go half way when they do something, their work is top shelf and they are two very special people.
The Crow Creek shoots just like the previous two I had. Smooth, quiet, quick and zero hand shock. The Black Feather shot a 9.8 gr/pdf arrow through the chrony at 174 fps. That is more than adequate to kill anything I take a shot at this fall!
The Cocobolo in the riser is absolutely gorgeous and the Fiddleback Maple in the limbs is beautiful, too. It's great to have a Black Feather back in my lineup of bows!!
