Title: What About a Wedged Ferrule Tip?
Post by: George D. Stout on June 29, 2008, 09:10:00 AM
With all the talk about single bevel, what about a sharpened wedge at the front of the ferrule; siimilar to a four blade, but thicker at the base and sharpened at the edges to serve more as a pry than a cutting edge.  It could be beveled as well and haredened of course to withstand twisting.  And, of course, it would add more frontal weight without as much need for heavier inserts.

It's 9 AM and too wet to go outside to shoot yet 8^).
