A buddy of mine and I christened his boat a couple months ago before the floods came. We shot 60-some carp in a couple hours, and had to quit because we fulled the tub.

He took this photo the next morning in his driveway. He uses an old solid fiberglass recurve with a taped-on spincast reel...and shoots it very, very well.

Yea, that's a longnose outta Lake Champlain. Lots of them there. They don't let you NY guys shoot them though. Wierd rule.

Keep it coming, I love them bowfishing pics. I haven't bowfished in a few years but the urge is coming back looking at the fun you guys are having.

Randy they are "Bighead Carp" they are plankton feeders. Shoot them at night with their mouths wide open swimming into the current.
When you get two on at once it's exciting to say the least.

Lon, you would be suprised they can get pretty spooky like a Texas whitetail inside a fence. The issue is they are a soft fish and they can pull hard so keeping the arrow from slipping out is key.
