I need some advice on arrows for my wife. She has a Mikuta long bow that is 58" 25#@24". So what do you guys think? and who has them?..
Thanks everyone.
Paul.
I've not had a 25# bow, but I'm sure cut down to her draw length that a Carbon Express Terminator Junior arrow will do the trick. Mine are all cut at 28" (my draw is 27 3/4) and I'm shooting them in bows from 29# to 35#, but for the 35# and up bows, I'm shooting Easton's Carbon X-Weave 100's.
My wife Lisa has a Mikuta longbow 62" 36# @ 28" (she actualy draws about 26")
My youngest son Tyler has one of Ed's "little longbows" 48" 20# @ 18"
I use cedar youth arrows (40# spine) for both. I leave Lisa's full length, and I cut Tyler's to 22". Then I taper the ends and hot melt a 125gr. field point on.
Where do you find your cedar youth arrows? I'm having a horrible time trying to find them in a 28".
Thanks,
T-Bug
Paul,
I bought my daughter some CE Thunderstorm youth arrows for her 25lb bow and they fly great. I would take a look at them if you are interested in carbons.
T-Bug,
Just looked in the 3rivers catalog and they 5/16 POC in 30-35, 35-40, and 11/32 in 40/45. Have you call The Nocking Point, Raptor Archery, or some of the other sponsors to see what they can find for you.

T-bug. Most suppliers have low poundage 5/16 shafts. May have to make your own arrows though. When they make those shafts into arrows, most cut them to 24 inches for kids arrows. I'm sure one of the custom arrow makers could make them for you at a longer length.
Nice, thanks guys I'm going to check out the CE's

T-Bug,
I've bought lots of them over the years from Joe Skipp, you could shoot him a PM. They came 28" to the end of that silly crimp-on bullet point.I just cut the point off tapered the end and glued on a 125gr. field point. The finished arrow was 27 1/4" to BOP.
