It got a little chilly on Saturday night; this is my wife warming up by the campfire

This picture makes me happy.   I finally got my wife to lay down the compound for a little while and give traditional archery a try.

Poor old Nighthawk, he could not stay awake with the younger guys.
I think all the overtime he had that week really got to him.

This is Blake and Lane.   Vermonster gave away some complete bow set-ups.  A few months ago Lane was a lucky boy and got one of these set ups.    He has done a lot of shooting with it and he really smile every time his father lets him get the bow out and shoot it.   Thanks to all who donated for such a good cause.

Another thing  would like to add is that we accomplished a goal while at Cloverdale.
My son put money down on a custon bow to be made for him.   He worked hard all summer and saved his money and he made the choice to buy his "own" bow.    When it is completed I will post pictures and tell all the details of the bow.

Here is another one of your boy at the longshot. He seemed pretty proud of that antler shot. He made sure I took a pic of him.

				B. Glass,  That was Logan,  He got pretty good.   I think I gave him enough money to have purchased his own thrower.  That is his favorite part of cloverdale.
He has a trick when he shoots.   He puts a little english on the arrow when he shoots.    I have a pic that shows what he does.   I will post it when I find it.

B.Glass    This a picture of Logan from the Compton shoot last year.   Do you see his special technique?

By the way, what got cooked up in that dutch oven in the camp photo? That's how I got my screen name, messing with dutch ovens. And y'all thought I was from Holland...

				Dutchman,
We went handfishing in Alabama last summer and we fried up some of the catfish.   We made some homemade seasoned fries,  with a side of slaw.   It was a campfire fish dinner.
A guy next to use was from England and he had never had catfish.  I offered it to him and he took it and aske for more.  He seemd to really like it.
It rained all night friday and I was not able to cook up a deer stew that we had planned for.   (Danged rain)
