Title: carbons for this
Post by: thumper15 on June 23, 2008, 07:30:00 PM
Looks like I'll be using my #56 recurve for deer season so I'd like you guys opinion on a carbon combo for it. I draw about 28.5", bow is #56@28, looking at using 145gr bear heads, and arrow weight about 675gr. Advice on weight tubes, length, arrows would be greatly apppreciated.

I use the Easton ST Epic 300s.  I have mine weighing around 650.  I use 190 heads.  I shoot a 60# pronghorn and these puppies are like darts.
Anyway, my two cents.

29.5 inch Arrow Dynamics - aquarium tubing inserted  in the front till it stops in the taper - cut the tubing off with 1/4 inch sticking out the front and glue the insert in with super glue scrunching the tubing.

You will be REAL close to the weight you want.

I"m going to email ya.
