I've had this bow about a year and never had a string for it. I picked up a string last week and am amazed at how well the bow shoots.
The brace hieght now is about 5 3/4. What would be a good starting point when i start to tune the bow.
Yukon brace height should be 7 1/2 in. I have the one I first shot in 1967 and it has always shot well at that setting.

Weights 25 to 50 lbs
Woods brown glass front and back

Plam-pressure fit grip
Brace height 7 1/2 inches

Ok thanks. I had moved it up to 7 but will move it to 7 1/2 when i get arrows to set the bow up with. I can't belive how well I'm shooting this bow and the arrows i'm using right now are way to over spined but i'm shooting way better than i ever did with my longbow but may be a wegiht thing more than nayhting
Shakespeare's are great shooting bows. I haven't found one yet that didn't shoot well.
Don't forget that the 7 1/2" is a recommendation, not a requirement. Set the brace ht where it works best for you.
