What brace height do you guys shoot your longbow at? Thanks in advance...
My buddy has one. I think it's around 8 3/8". Send a PM to Bentpole to make sure I'm right.
I just received mine the other day. The letter with it said to start at 7" and go from there. So far mine is shooting the best at 7".
Set it low than gradually work up. I would try 6 3/4 to the deppest portion of the grip.
How do you guys like the Horn's bow compared to other longbows?
i love my horne traditionalist more than any bow i have ever shot.
i have mine set at 7 1/4"
it is 66" long
Everthing opposite of what Sutto said is my experience with the Hornes Traditionalist Longbow.Definatly one of the best D shaped bows I have shot.I find the grip very comfortable and it settles into the hand naturally
Had a few of them and both were fast, smooth and accurate.I really like em with the Tonkin bamboo limbs.
Mine shoots good between 7"-7 1/4" I have found Mark and Sandy's customer service to be great. About the best there is out there.

My Horne's Traditionalist is braced at 7 1/8. It was an instock 64" bow. Maple cores, shedua riser, goncalo alves veneers. The grip fits my hand perfect[everyone is different].It shoots very quick for me 50#s @ 27"s.Gold Tip Traditionals 35/55 cut to 27 3/4" with a 250 grain head. Fast, quick, and quiet. I'ved owned a lot of bows including 2 Turkey Creeks[great shooters yes]and a bunch of top of the line, high end, high price hybrids.I still own my Horne's.Plus the bow was 475.00 when I bought it new.My 2 cents Pastor Steve.I have to add, there's a bunch of Trad Gangers here that shot my Horne's everyone that shot it was impressed.
I'm sorry I gave you the wrong information. I was aboput an inch too high on the brace height. At one time I had a Hornes TD Mountain Recurve Bow and the brace height was around 8 1/2"
If someone can, please compare the Horn's Traditionalist to the Black Widow PL longbow...
