I've been trying real hard to maintain back tension and as a result I began drawing my bow about 1" too far on some shots. This nearly always causes the arrow to impact to the right. I've shortened my draw and the right impact has gone away.
I shoot right handed. Does anyone know why drawing too far causes a right impact?
Could be several reasons....arrow spine now weak, over drawing causing string torque, or bow torque, bow arm moving to the right also from over drawing yourself out of alignment.
Terry,
Thanks for the feed back. I think I'm doing all those things when I overdraw! Especially alingment and string and bow torque.
I suppose the easiest thing to do is keep my draw length at 31", not to overdraw past 32" and not worry about the problems it causes but just know I'm going to hit that spot!
