Sory for another question on this type of arrow.Do you cut the front or the back of the arrow to trim them to length? because they are tapered does anyone have problems installing the vinyl arrow wraps they sell? i bought the trad heavies and am planning on shooting them off of my new widow. Its 55# at 28" do you recomend using a brass insert to add weight tot he front of the arrows and are the brass weights avaiable? who sells them? i also read somewhere there is a different knock sytem you can use? who sells them? thanks
You cut from the insert end. Do not cut the taper.
The arrow wraps will install fine on them just make sure they are centerd on the shaft.
You can use the brass but shouldnt need them if you leave the shaft longer and tune.
Ted Fry has the Brass inserts. Not sure about the nocking system.
Hope that helps.
Trim the front....
And as far as the nocking system goes, look in the sponsor list under Arrow Dynamics....
You need to get in touch with one of the AD Sponsors they can answer all your questions....look on the sponsors list.
No problems with wraps....here's a few ADs wrapped....
Just keep scrolling down.....

Wraps work great. just make sure they are the 1 1/8".
You can only get 100 grain brass inserts at this time and Raptor archery in the sponsors section has them I believe. I shoot the same set up as you and you should not need them. As stated, start long and cut a little at a time.
I use the glue on nocks. Gary at Arrow Dynamics can sell you the nock adapters for the glue on nocks.
Terry showed you some awesome wraps from Trad Gang. If none interest you, then look up Onestringer Arrow wraps in the sponsor section here and Mindy can hook you up.
Your other option for nocks is ACC size 28 bushings and wide throat G-nocks.
Yes as said above , cut the point end not the nock end.
We carry the nock inserts for using glue on nock as well as the standard white AD nock. As well as the 100 grain brass inserts. Feel free to call with questions
thank you for your responses, my new widow is due in the end of next week and i want to be ready to tune some arrows when it arrives.
Terry, I just looked at the Hi vis yellow Trad Gang wraps. Do they fit 2216's?
doeboy, it may just be me, but the AD's seem to require the LEAST tuning of anything I've shot.
All of my arrows are cut to 29" for 27" draw. I've got point weights from 225 to 300gr, total arrow wt. 575-650gr. I've shot these arrows through recurves and longbows from 45# to 64#, and they seem to fly GREAT through anything they're fed to....
Good luck

Flatlander..........YES!
