Title: Bowfishing in TN
Post by: robtattoo on June 09, 2008, 03:53:00 PM
Is there any to be had at all?

Looks like we're moving to Coffee Co. around Tullahoma. Lots of water & looks to be lots of 'proper' fishing, anything to be shot at though?

Git up the road to Land Between the Lakes. Two great bowfishing lakes there!

Saweet! Is it regulated (seasons, licence etc...) or can anyone shoot carp at ay time?
Sorry if that sounds dumb, but I haven't really looked into the hunting regs yet. According to The Wife, we have more important (?????) things to worry about!

Rock Island State Park is only about 45 min from you in Warren/White counties.
You need to find Great Falls Dam. When they stop generating, the water falls and leaves pools with loads of carp and drum. This is usaully in the early mornings. But be careful, those rocks are like ice after the water drops.
I can't imagine a better place to bowfish. Huge carp, catfish and drum. You don't even need a boat.

Hey Rob . . Is this a permanent change of residence, or is this just a weekend getaway kind of place?  I know you were looking for some property out that way but never heard anything about you finding a place.
Either way, Coffee Co. will never be the same!!!!
