There is a 3D shoot at York Archers tomorrow, it's set up for the compound guys, but they do put out trad/youth stakes. It's a little farther than you wanted to drive. I'm not sure if I'm going, it's gonna be HOT!!

Thanks for the feedback...
I can shoot my nerf football or twigs around here, just thought I'd try to meet someone in this area..
Doc, it's never truly a bummer around the 'gang; just doesn't work out sometimes...Congrats on the turkey!

Mike, now ya had to go say that here...and y'know that I shot it with a scatter gun...and about blew THAT! I thought I'd have a heart attack. That Ernie is one fine caller and super friend...but thanks! Just next time... I'd go for a bow...but oh, my!  :)

Billy... keep us posted next run back this way... things might heat up. There used to be a Carlisle Fish and Game that did a beautiful trad shoot...but the guy had to do a lot of work himself...great club... if they had an open shoot, it'd be worth it. Great courses.

One of our gate guards use to be groundskeeper at one of the clubs around here. Did get to shoot there last summmer. He blew his shoulder and isn't shooting now...  :(
I'm limited to 30-40 miles because of fuel costs. Can't blame the company, and what they allow is generous; so....
Thanks again !
I try to post where I am on weekends. I'll keep ya'll (or you'ns ) posted ; like to meet more 'Gangers, when I can.

Isn't that where Fred Bear is from? I'd be out in the woods, catching the vibes!

Good point VTer...
wound up nerf football and tennis ball 'stump shootin' here in the yard- then...
I was in a bass store yesterday and the "archery" rep told us a story about having his first car repaired by 'Uncle Bear'..Fred's very own brother!!
Not really papa Bear but, the vibes are around.
Then we slipped off to Kinsey's off of 283
?Mt Joy?; my buddy, from Cincinatti; bought a long bow, from a ND salesman, who shoots trad but does not hunt...
caame back to Carlisle and busted the tennis balls again till dark...
Good day , IMO....
Thanx again for the responses guys.

Billy, Carlisle is trout fishing heaven not very well known for its archery. Kinsey's in Elizabethtown and Lancaster Archery Supply will keep an archer interested and LAS has a nice range indoors. Lancaster also has a archery club which hosts 3D shoots that might also be of interest.

LAS and the Lancaster Archers are further away than you wanted though. Heck, just trout fish there ..... you know the phase "when in Rome ......"  ;)
