can a 50 lb bow shooting a 600-700 grain total arrow get a pass through on a whitetail shooting a coc head like the snuffer 160 or the g5 striker mag 125? i know placement is the key and there is really no need for such a head, but i am curious about how much power would be needed for a passthrough. thanks for any info!

With that arrow weight, I think you can push one through most of the time.

The only way to find out is to try it. I do believe you would need a very well tuned setup, tho. I shoot 55 lbs @ 26" and a 600+ gr well tuned wood arrow and don't feel that I could shoot thru consistently with a big snuffer. JMO

It "could" considering all the perfect conditions. Thing is when that deer is in front of you and you are shooting it with archery equipment by the time your arrow gets to the deer those perfect conditions can change in a hurry. Plan on the bad shot or non perfect conditions not the good ones because if you hunt long enough that bad ones will come.

I shot 1.5" magnus for years with a 57# bow and 650 grain arrows and got through a lot of critters,BUT I have shot completely throug alot more since I swithced to 1.25" magnus even with less bow weight and arrow weight.

I bet nearly every time. Whitetails arent that tough to penatrate. Thats the set up Im gonna use this year except I draw 52lbs.
