Title: arrow for45# bear polar
Post by: Bear Heart on June 02, 2008, 10:01:00 PM
Bought a '64 bear polar and want to prep some arrows for its arrival.  It is 45# at 28 and I draw 28.25-28.5.  What do you recommend?

Thanks Killdeer.  By the way, we decided to get my wife a 45#er.  Not this one though.  It a gift to myself.  Lighter than usual for me but oh so pretty.  At her draw length that equates to about 36-39 pounds.

Bear Heart, my wife has a custom longbow 36# at her draw of 24". She shoots 1716 aluminum cut to 28" with 100 grn. points.
Ditto on Killys suggestion of 1916 for your bow. Hope this helps.

greatbow got to shoot cedars with a vintage stick like that and yes I think 30"1916 with125grn so a 1916 is 59.2 pound of spine I would say 55lb cedars cut 30" wood shoot great remember that bow use to be 45 at 28 old bows like that can go up about 5 pounds so it could be 50 at 28.bring it over to tim at at g@b love bear polars
