Hi all I am soon moving to Missouri and will start shooting 3d when I get settled. Since I haven't shot 3d before I didn't know if in traditional class (i shoot a long bow) if wood arrows are required.
I have looked at some shoot flyers but they don't specify. Or does it depend on the type of shoot ie; trad only vs all classes.
thanks,
Most of the shoots in Missouri I believe don't require wood arrows for longbow, but then sometimes they might require it.
Where in Missouri are you moving to? I'm basically in K.C.
Most places I've been they will let you shoot any arrow material but it just depends on the club or org.Best to call the clup pres.and find out if you plan to travel very far.
I think IBO requires wood arrows in trad longbow.
In lg comps in the LB class wood arrows will most likely be required however you can shoot a LB in the trad class along with recurve's
Rules change you'd hafta check in most case's you can shoot what ever you like.Good luck
Traditional Longbow or Recurve class normally requires wood arrows only. Open Longbow or Recurve class will allow any arrow material. Good luck and have fun. :bigsmyl:
Thanks to all I will have to call before going. I just got a dozen cedars from Mike at the knocking point in KS and they shoot great, as good as my aluminum so I might as well just shoot them then I dont have to second guess.
It depends on the individual club and what organization they're a member of, ASA, IBO, etc. Shooting wood is probably your best bet. That way you know it's not an issue no matter where you shoot.
hey brett, i am in missouri and try to shoot every sunday at different clubs around the state. MBH (missouri bowhunters) club doesn't specify what type arrow you must shoot. is simply traditional class. recurve or longbow or selfbow are all the same to them. i usually only see about 5-10 trad shooters at most shoots. the budweiser shoot in july usually brings out the most of us. ;)
