Who out there makes the best custom Flemish twist bowstrings? Have heard that Rod at Great Strings is no longer making them.
Oberon
Look in the "Sponsors Classified". Bobby Graham ("bgram" is his handle). Heard great things about his strings and he's making me a couple now. Also Chad from Recurves.com, (LBR) has made me top quality strings. Can't go wrong with either.
Another vote for Bobby. Great guy and great string.
Yep, I just got a string from Bobby a couple of days ago. Couldn't be happier.
I just got two strings from Bobby this past week. Very pleased with them and will be ordering all my strings from him in the future.
Another happy customer of Bobby Graham. Great strings and a great guy to do business with.
Bobby Graham's G-Strings all the way.
I am going to ask a dumb question here,
What's the benefit of a custom string compared to what the bow maker on a custom bow send you ?
I know in my wheel days, that was the first thing I did, change the string cables to custom.
I shoot a recurve, can a custom string be quieter ?
Faster ?

Got my two new "G Strings" from Bobby Graham today and he makes a top-notch string. He'll be doing all mine from now on.
Linda Brackenbury
Goldenhawk aka LeRoy he makes an awesome string at a great price.
I picked up a Mosshorn longbow at the Hickory NC shoot and it had a string on it that may as well have come off a banjo. Bobby built a G-Sting for it that turned a bargain bow into a really good bow. It picked up 10 FPS over the crummy stringthat was on it, as well as being quieter and canceling out practically all of the handshock. G-String, no question!

You can't go wrong with Chad or Bobby!
I recently got a great string from Len Emmen, Coon Rapids, MN. He has an ad in Trad Bowhunter.
How about suggestions for endless - with materials used?

I second the motion on the DVD from recurve.com
" Doing The Twist "
I've been in contact with Chad, and have talk to about three times this week. He is a wealth of information. And is not afraid to share his
" secrets " he's passing information along to me that takes me years ahead of myself in shooting my bow to its best efficiency.
Give Chad a call, you share with you the things he's learned, and it will help you advance your knowledge in such a way that it increases your proficiency with your bow.

Joe Stark, "Lone Wolf traditional archery, st. Joseph, illinois. He and Chad made and is on the "doing the Twist" DVD. I have known Joe for many years and he has taught me how to make strings and has been doing it since he was young, which means the dawn of time. check out there website and give him a call you will not be disapopointed.
Quote...has been doing it since he was young, which means the dawn of time.
