I figure if I list what I'm thinking of, you guys will certainly have some makers for me to check out
I'd like a TD hybrid longbow, high wrist or a "recurve" like grip. I'd also like to keep it under $600. my draw is ony 27.5" looking to have it fairly stout 62-64# draw weight. It would be a pure hunting bow.
Suggestions?
Take a look at Jason's Orion. He has had great feedback on the bow.
It's on our website under J's bows.

I'm partial to Bob Lee's t/d longbow myself but there are many good ones out there.
I've been really pleased with my Firefly by Jim Jones. Definately within your price range. You can check them out at Braveheart Archery, they're a sponser here. There's also some pictures and comments on the Review Forum regarding Firefly TD Longbows as well.

Theres a guy here named Crooked Stick that builds a nice bow like your looking for.
If the stars are aligned right, can sometimes find a used Morrison Shawnee for that price. Very nice bow, though haven't seen very many with a high-wrist grip, though his medium wrist is rather high IMO.
Horne's Archery makes a nice TD longbow for real close to that money and if you check out Crow's Head Outfitters (sponsor here) Ned sometimes offers Horne's bows for %10 off which would help you come in right at your dollar amount and you will have a first-class TD hybrid longbow with a super grip. Got a TD Brush Bow on order myself...

Now I might be a pretty strong persuasion for;
1 Bob Lee
2 Bob Lee
3 and did I mention Bob Lee
I am thinking he makes a pretty good bow, but I also have not tried out that many takedown's. I've had about six bow's, and the Bob Lee has been the best-performing bow for me and its takedown, mine is a recurve, but you can get the same grip for a longbow. Check him out

Check out Lewis Hollow Archery.
That Orion from Dryad is sweet. It is a neutral wrist, but I think you would like it.
Lewis Hollow. Chris Sparks makes a pure hunting bow.I believe he still has a try before you buy bow around. I tried it and orderd one.I predict he'll be very busy come next fall.Outstanding person and bowyer makes a very fast, quiet and smooth takedown 3 piece hybrid longbow. He will also make a grip to your liking I understand, but his standard grip suits me just fine.
Thanks for all the tips guys, looks like I have some investigating to do.
I'd give the nod to either a Firefly or a Dryad Orion.
Either are friendly priced and have bamboo limb cores ... though do consider that the Orion has Tonkin cane cores as opposed to the Firefly's action'boo.
