Title: Contributing Member Thank you and a Drawing for 2
Post by: Terry Green on July 22, 2026, 11:24:32 AM
Once again I would like to thank all of the Contributing Members that help us stay online as June and July, a very slow billing months for Tradgang.   It really means a lot, and even more so today as we battle big tech.  Most people here don't realize that we have been around longer than the big tech.  I think that is pretty cool.

Anyhow, your contributions have been very welcoming as of late. I was sick for two weeks and then  my doctor had seen enough. He sent me to the emergency room from his office where 4 nurses ran into my room with I.V stands.  All the while others were getting an admittance room prepped for me since I was going to be admitted. I was severely dehydrated, and I needed some serious attention evidently as those nursed were scurrying around like ants on top of an ant hill that was just kicked. Watching them had me a bit concerned  also.

I had four IV ports hooked up to me. One for a general bag of fluid. Then, for potassium,
magnesium, and an antibiotic. They were also giving me injections of steroids and God knows what else.   I lost count of the needles that went in me at 26. Not at one time, just the ports and the others were general shots like steroids, and another antibiotic for a secondary issue that arose from the the dehydration. They didn't let me eat for 3 days. I have never been so weak in my life, as I could hardly walk the day I went in and that lasted for days. Every essential we all need to survive had been completely drained out of me, and it took some time to gain it all back.

I think it's highly likely that it was from this lettuce mess that is going around. However, this warning had not come until after I was recovering. I eat at taco bell a couple times a week because it's so convenient. Maybe it was their lettuce, maybe not, I do not know. I don't think the doctors knew either because like I said it was about a week and a half later, when they came out with the warning.

Anyhow, I'll be going to Cohutta soon, as I REALLY need to get into the woods.

Now, this is a totally honorary give away, I need two Contributing Members....

One that hunts with 3 blades, and one that has never hunted with 3 blades but would like to try.. I have 200grn at 1/8th cut and 250grn at 1 1/4 cut.

1 Contributing member that LOVES 3 blades, and 1 Contributing member that has NEVER tried 3 blades but would like to.

ONE requirement if you win, and this is mandatory....

You MUST post hero pics when you kill something. Notice I said "when" and not if.  :readit:

I will just do a simple drawing for each above, and you choose the heads you want.

Terry, I am glad you were able to overcome whatever caused your illness. No, hospitals are not fun especially when you're not aware of what's going on and no one says much. Been there, done that. I had to lay off shooting because of pacemaker implant. 6 weeks. I am trying to shoot 50 arrows every other day to rebuild the muscle I lost. Even my 45# bow gets to be a struggle towards the end. Agian glad your better and can get back at it.

This is a great offer. I hope there will be a lot of members that sign up. I cannot because I am scheduled for some surgery. Otherwise I would be in the competition for the drawing. Good luck to all.

Yes, hunt with 200 grain 3 blades all the time and have for decades but unfortunately am not very good on the killing part the past 6-7 years because of my own health issues. Am hoping to rectify that this upcoming season.

Hope you are getting better, Terry.

I am glad your feeling better, the Cyclospora parasite is very serious, but the nurses should know how to find veins, so the patient makes a full recovery. :clapper:

I haven't hunted with 3 blades in over 15 years so I don't know if I qualify as a yes or no or at all. Anyway, if I am the 200 gr will work for me. The doctors said I wouldn't be able to draw a bow until January after my heart transplant. I'm already back up to 43lbs and shooting for my 49lbs by September so I will be back in the woods this fall. I feel your pain with all the IVs Terry! Glad you are recovering!
