Title: What drill type for drilling through limbs
Post by: Collett5149 on June 30, 2026, 08:08:09 PM
I'm working on my first take-down bow, and don't know how to drill through the completed limbs for the bolts & locator pins. I'm worried about the glass tearing out. The design is done, and I should be glueing up soon.
Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

One guy on here will tell he uses no masking tape on his limbs. To me this helps the glass not to splinter when taped and don't force it.when drilling the bolt hole always back up with hardwood sothe bit does not bust thru and splinter the glass. Sharp bits with light pressure works for me.
