Title: Bigfoot Flatliner
Post by: Rob DiStefano on June 29, 2026, 05:58:53 PM
Big kudos to Kirk for this superb bow!  3pc, 64" ntn, 41.9lbs @ 28".  Bamboo cores, very smooth draw, feels more like a 66" or longer bow that its 64".  I spun up a BCY 652 20s string and launched some of my DIY 11/32" 440 grain woodies @ 17 yards.  The third arrow was pilot error, the other five flew off well.  Love the looks and feel of this bow, thank you Kirk.

Thanks for sharing, Rob!! That is a very cool bow that Kirk made. Impressive accuracy from you and the bow and I love how you are shooting wood arrows out of it!

Really glad to hear you are enjoying the bow Rob.   But man, you need to quit shooting at one spot or you are going to bust up those beautiful woodies. :o

I'll bet you have already had to replace nocks on those arrows. Nice shooting!

Yep, I killed a few woodies already, but they're nothing special, just simple throwaway roving arrows.  Plus, for whatever reason I've never had such consistently repeatable tight groups!  I think the bow likes me too.  :)

Arguably the best longbow I've ever shot, very forgiving and stable, the bamboo cores offer smooth no stack pull to my 28" draw length, plus it has the speed to boot with 10-12 GPP arrows.  It LOVES BCY 652 string fiber, too - so do I!

Still waiting to hear back from the WA on allowing this type of 3pc longbow.
