Title: Bows lighter than target weight
Post by: Possum Head on May 25, 2026, 05:12:04 PM
Bowyers, this has to be frustrating and a situation you all must have encountered more than you wish. Is trial and error along with record keeping something you all started with? Even with like thicknesses in core lams and fiberglass should one expect differences up to 5lbs.? What's the biggest contributing factor. I'm no Bowyer nor do I care to be just curious.

Yup... it happens to the pro's at times too. Even after building  100's of bows you still get those W.T F.? moments for no good reason.
