Title: a 78@30 glassie
Post by: simk on May 07, 2026, 07:31:36 AM
...well I have always (or mostly  :) ) made the bows I felt like making. Mostly all naturals in the past. Now I felt like making a few glassies again.
For this one I took a few measurments from a Howard Hill Tembo. But its not a replica, other measurments I come from my bows and so do reverse tapers, which leads to slightly different shape than the original. Its is 65" ntn, made from yew and maple, yewbow-style. 27mm in width. thin glass. Yes, hit target weight  :)

Beautiful bow and I bet it flings some logs! Out of curiosity, how much backset do you have on those limbs?
