I have one of Killdeer's pics as a screen saver. Ken, that is a great one also.

Here is my "wallpaper" on my desktop. You just have to find a pic you like and go with it.
My bear stalk in British Columbia, May 2007.
Thats Michael Schneider (Mooseman) behind me.

Nice painting, Ken, a lot to like about it. But what's with the arrow? May be less than 2" of penetration? :D And there's no bow in the photo, so maybe he just THREW the arrow...? :smileystooges:
That's a great picture Ken! Knife River, you just need to use some imagination. Maybe he shoots REALLY LONG arrows! Heck, maybe the man's Indian name was "Long Arrow". Also, since he is obviously giving thanks to the animals spirit, and not posing for a "TradGang Glory Shot", he set his bow down out of sight. LOL! Now about that one with that rough looking mob in the truck, I wouldn't reccommend using that one if you have small children around, could be very tramatic to youngun's. LOL!
I haven't used windows in a number of years (use linux instead) but I know that in windows xp you can go to control panel> appearance and themes> choose a screen saver. There you will find in the drop down box a screen saver called "My Pictures Slideshow". It will display the pictures in your "My Documents\\ My Pictures" folder. So if you just want a trad pics slide show load your my pictures folder with trad pictures you like and use that screen saver. Not sure about windows vista, but I imagine there's something similar.

Obviously, it's an atlatl dart. It broke off on the far side when the deer fell.
I took that truck shot!! What fun that day was!!
Just curious, Mr. Wakeman, what pic do you use? And I was wondering what you were doing since you stopped playing keyboard for "Yes". Now I know!
Killdeer  :biglaugh:
I just use pic's that I really like. Windows lets you use them as a screen saver.
Thanx for the 2 pic's Ken & David... they fit in great with the other pic's I have.
Thanks so much the deer hunter will do just great..
Killdeer it is the pic of the obsidian head and arrow with buckskin backdrop. Tried to show it but technically challenged lol. Only a handful of people has asked me about my days with Yes LOL. I was born and raised here in the USA.
:biglaugh:
That pic is included in the TradGang screensaver. That head took my first bowkill, a doe fawn named Ashly. Glad you like it. Being the first real hunting shot I ever took with an arrow, I call the pic First Flight.

Where do we get the TradGang screen saver. I looked in the TradGang store and didn't see it.
Good question. There used to be a link at the top of the page for a free download. After the St. Jude's auction, contact Rob DiStefano and ax him. I imagine he's pretty dang busy right now.
("contact us" button at the bottom of the page.)

Killy,
A "Yes" reference??? Rick Wakeman??? I woulda never thought that would have come outta you! You never cease to amaze me! How about "Guided by Voices"? C'mon, really blow me away!!!
Brian
Woody,
i bet he used one of your flint knaaped heads on that arrow, didn't want to lose or brake it, knew just how much to let off and skillfully placed that razor right where it needed to be to recover both deer and flint! :bigsmyl:
Thank you Killdeer.
I now have your First Flight as my screen saver. If its not OK with you I will remove it!
Hope to share a Campfire with ya'll sometime.
i had the chance to share a hunt with Killy last year, great, great person to be around, really hope to get a chance to huntwith her again.
Killy,
what was the singnature line you had not to long ago? i had been meaning to ask you if you wrote it? about the stored sun light? could ya please post it here for me?
Horatio, no. Looked them up, don't even know the names of any of the members. But I can quote you early YES lyrics all day, or what they prolly are or what they sounded like...
I think of them often when hunting.
"In and around the lake
Mountains come out of the sky
They stand there."
Jag, once a pic is online without protection, I figure it is gonna get lifted. If it makes money for someone, I want a cut. You are free to use it as a screensaver, and if I can find a higher res file of it, I would be glad to send it to you.
Kenny, bro, I wrote it. Here it is in its entirety:
"When I see wood, I think of all the days of sunlight stored up in the living bones of trees. However it is used, whether in arrows or bows, barns or fences, or released back all at once in a fire, the energy is sacred, and should be celebrated.
For down and dirty get-it-done in any weather deer hunting, I built a synthetic-stocked rifle. For a soul-stirring walk in the squirrel woods, I take a .22 as old as me, my 'red rifle', and savor the autumn smells and the swirling grain of the stock. There is a comfortable warmth in old wood, a giving back of the love that God rains down on us with every daybreak, and is stored up in the bones of trees."

Killdeer, you could make more money with your pics than I ever could with Yes, the only way I could carry a tune is in a bucket :knothead: just enjoyed them.
