Hello all, looking for recommendations for a guide to hunt Black bear in Minnesota or Wisconsin in 2027 or 2028. Thanks for any help.

I don't know about Minnesota, but Wisconsin is a point/Draw state even for residents.

Minn bear applications are due by May 1. Most of the state is under the drawing but there are some non quota areas that you can buy over the counter. Go to the MN DNR website to find a list of guides.

Yep. Wisconsin is draw only. Currently, it takes 8-9 years to draw in Northwest Wisconsin, about 3-4 years in Central. I expect North Central and North East are similar to Northwest. .
