Hello!

I have a classic Bear Takedown from the 70's. It's more of a larger version of a 76er with fiberglass limbs that just slide in. The limbs have a slight twist to them, but it still shoots straight. The issue is that one of the limbs has a new split that has formed at its base. Is this fixable? Is it possible to retrofit limbs from a Samick Sage - maybe sand the limbs down to help them fit? I love the bow and don't want to turn it into a wall hanger. What other options do I have?

I don't know about  Samik Sage limbs, But retro fitting limbs can be tricky. Matching the same limb pad angle with the right shaped limb design can make a huge difference. Unless you are experienced in bow building, its nothing i'd recommend doing yourself. 

I build after market TD bear limbs for guys, but they send me their riser so i can get proper alignment.. If this is something you might be interested in, can you post a photo of the bow?
