If you have a Big Jim Bow please post some pictures of it and tell us what you think about it! I noticed the threads that had the links to pictures from past years were no longer active.
Here's a few pics of my Thunderchild. Absolutely one of my favorite bows ever.
Big Jim does amazing work.
Can't tell it's a takedown.
Big Jim has the best selection of woods.
Great pics! That bow is beautiful! I thought it was really cool that one of Big Jim's bows was used to win the Lancaster Classic longbow shoot this year too.

It was his Buffalo model. I thought that was cool too!
Beautiful Thunderchild!
Pretty bow
It sounds cliche to say it but in this case it's true. It really does shoot better than it looks.
That is a gorgeous bow

I have a number of his bows, and like them. I like the three piece Buffalo the best. The Thunder Child is nice also. I can take some better pictures of the limbs if you like.
Nice collection Alex!
Thanks Thom, all but the Thunder Child are custom.
Alex, I've often wondered about a 3 piece Buffalo, but haven't had the chance to shoot one yet, being a lefty and all.
Yeah it's my favorite for sure the Vera wood one is 64" and the walnut and koa is 66" I think that may be my prettiest bow.
I know i should be asking Jim but he's busy and i like posting sometmes :bigsmyl:
Can someone tell me what lim lams these are and if you know the riser woods too... otherwise im seriously thinking about asking Jim to put me on the wall
For an exact copy but in 60 or 62"

I am pretty sure that is California buckeye burl with the red resin / epoxy added in the voids. Very unique and sweet looking set up
