Title: Are Hummingbird bows still being made?
Post by: EvDaArcha2003 on February 04, 2026, 04:01:57 PM
This may make me sound dumb but I knew that yall would know the answer to this. I have my dream longbow (a blackwidow PL X) but I always wanted to also own a Hummingbird Kingfisher bow as well. While I am in no position to buy one right now, what about to be a dad at 22 and all, but I would for sure buy one down the line. I haven't seen much about Hummingbird in a while. They used to advertise in Traditional Bowhunter magazine a while back. Does anyone know if they are still making bows? Thanks  :goldtooth:

Yes, James Parker bought Hummingbird bows from Linda Graham, Ben's widow. You can contact James at huntworthyproductions.com If you have trouble with that send me a PM and I'll get you his contact info. I'm pretty sure James will be at the Tenn Classic,May 1,2,3. if you can make that shoot.

I have a 1 piece Hummingbird Kingfisher Longbow made for me by Ben Graham. A 3 piece Kingfisher Longbow that was Ben's personal Bow that Linda gifted to me after Ben passed, and a 1 piece Kingfisher Longbow made for me by James Parker and I love them all.  Hummingbirds were all I shot for a long time, now I mix in a couple of Bear takedowns and a Black Widow recurve that a friend gave me.   Kurt

I had an old Hummingbird Kingfisher that I've owned for 30 something years. I decided to get it out and hunt with it last year but forgot it was 60# at my draw. So I began the quest to try to get a hold of Ben or Linda to see if I could get a new set of lower pound limbs made for it since I'm older and I hold longer now. Finally got a hold of Linda and she sent me to James Parker that just so happened to live about 30 minutes from me. James had to make a new mold for the limb mounts because mine were so old. James did a great job and I ended up killing 2 deer with it last year. The last time I talked to James he was having some heath issues but I don't know how serious it was. Good luck!

I'll have to contact James to see how he's doing. I'm hoping to see him again at the Classic. I've known James for over 25 years.

I shot my James Parker Hummingbird yesterday and it's doing fine. I hope James is alright and doing well, I always enjoy seeing him at the Classic.   Kurt

James is a really great guy. When I took my bow to him we talked for a long time and he helped me a lot. I live in NC and when I originally bought my bow from Ben I had to drive for a while to get to his shop so when I finally got a hold of James I was really excited to find out he lived right down the road from me. He told me to send him a picture of the deer if I killed one so I did and never heard anything from him so I called him later to check on him and he said he'd had some health issues. Hope he's good.
