Title: 3d Courses and shoots near Maryland
Post by: EvDaArcha2003 on February 02, 2026, 09:03:57 PM
Hey gang! I am about to graduate college and will be having a kid in April. My fiancee and I are trying to do as much shooting and outside activates before April rolls around. We are planning on attending ETAR but want to get out and attend more 3d Courses.

Does anyone know of any good 3d courses and shoots in or around Maryland? Thanks in advance

The Baltimore Bowmen host the Mid-Atlantic Traditional Classic every May. This year it is May 14-17. A little later than you asked for but just wanted to let you know. Their club is just off Harford Road.

It is a really nice shoot with courses that go through some phenomenal woods.

There is the Heart of Maryland Bowhunters near Marriottsville and Anne Arundel Archers in Gambrills. HoM is a 3d club, and AAA is a field archery course that occasionally also has 3d shoots.

I was a AAA member for several years and think it's an excellent course. You can use the first 3-4 lanes (one out to 80 yards) for free, and the full 28-targer course for members is something like $80/yr.

Baltimore Trad Classic is absolutely worth attending, especially if you're local. It's a great set of course, a good bit of kit fo sale, and not insanely huge. The Baltimore Bowmen club that hosts it is a good group.

You might also take a look and see if any of these others are of interest.

Ok I did some looking and talked with my fiancee and we are going to join HoM club. Their family membership is perfect for us! Thank you for the tip!

AAA is a beautiful course in a county park. It's a great oasis of woods in a place you'd never think of. Make sure to check in with a guy there named Mike Noonan. He's one of the club officers and a trad fanatic.

If you're put in the Sykesville/Eldersburg area, Heart of Maryland may be closer, but I can't comment on their course. I'll be shooting it when I move back, though.
