Title: Anybody have a favorite bow case for a short longbow?
Post by: johnnyk71 on January 27, 2026, 01:13:12 PM
I have a 52" Javaman Elkheart Magnum coming, and I'd like to find a case that isn't 65" long, but would hold a short strung longbow. most of the recurve cases will fit, but they are a foot longer than I need.

Anybody have a shorty case that they like? please and thanks!

I called Randy at Safari Tuff and had him make a case for my 52" Elkheart Magnum to my measurements. I love it.

It's not only the same bow length as yours, it's a lefty too. The bow case model is the Gazelle Takedown. I had him make it for an unstrung Elkheart Magnum, so the dimensions are 54" long and 7" deep. If you want it for a strung bow just add 2" to the length and depth while strung. It will take longer to get it than a stock case because they have to make it to your dimensions, but the wait wasn't too bad. It cost the same as a standard Gazelle.

Definitely keep me updated, I'd like to hear your impressions once you've had a chance to shoot it. I'm amazed by how good of a shooter it is.
