OK everyone, I guess I was waiting on Terry :) First about the Trade Points....We're working on a Set of 3 River Cane Arrows with DC Trade points and Guru and I are doing a Copperhead Arrow with a DC point, All for ST. Judes....Well those points are nice! We got in contact with Doug and begged for a few for personal use :) Dad and Conan went to work and made them screw-in TP's...weighing in @ 250 grains each..with is perfect...They cut ribs going in and out and would still shave hair! You couldn't even tell they had been shot.......Now Dad is a Die-hard 3 or 4 blade broadhead man but we know that 2 is gonna penetrate better with my set-up...which is an Ancient Spirits Kadiak, 44 pounds@25" draw, 450 grain Arrow. We didn't get a lot of pics but we got several......We got on some hogs at daylight. I had an iffy 21-22 yard shot but I didnt shoot and decided to wait for a closer shot. The hogs eventually moved off. Several times later in the morning we got on the hogs but I just never could get a shot because of shot angle, they were moving, or just to many eyes. I was with Conan and dad was seperated from us. Dad found some hog sign in a swampy bottom and I don't know if he pushed the hogs to us or not. All I know is that Conan and I were standing in between 2 heavily used hog trails that were about 25 yards apart. After a while we heard them coming. Then here they came. What we were'nt expecting is that they came from the trail behind us. They were running by us. My heart was about to pound out of my chest. After several went by without stopping one stopped at about 7-9 yards. He stopped for just a few seconds but fortunatly I was already drawn back. I released and saw the arrow hit right in the boiler room. He ran into a tree and blood shot out the hole. That was the last thing I saw. I did all the blood trailing and the recovery. It ran about 60 yards before falling. I can't descibe how excited I was....... Cannot believe you shot that purty little pig with that ugly bow that Kim horsetraded you out of, haha ! I am going to call your Dad and find out when you are away and I am going to come spray paint them limbs blaze orange or some other purty color, just kiddin, little brother !!! I do love the riser and grip on that Kadiak, it is sweet. Just not my color preference on the limbs, but who cares, right ? It ain't mine, it is Skyler's and he has already done christened it with some hog blood !!! Call me one mornin' when the sausage is comin out tha skillet ! :biglaugh:
