Just curious if anyone knows the species of wood Dale used for his limb veneers. It's seems like he use the same wood on all his bow limbs but can't figure out what it is. Mostly just curious.
Dale called it medicine wood but I think it was actually cross cut Red Elm.
should be "Flat cut" not Crosscut
and he usually stained them to match the riser. I wish I had a couple of those bows back :banghead:

I thought it looked like red elm but just not quite so that makes since.

Has there been any talk of anyone continuing to make Dale Dye bows?
Just saw a nice one sell at the United Bowhunters of Missouri banquet with two sets of limbs and the carved riser for only $675
Someone got a helluva deal considering those hardly ever come up for sale let alone at that price :notworthy:
