I just watched on Utube the Gene and Barry Wensel story from Brothers of the Bow. First time I met Gene was about 35 years ago when I started traditional bowhunting with a new custom Bighorn 3 piece takedown . The Wensels have been a huge influence on my bowhunting success, especially with mature bucks.
The few times I talked to Gene, we end up talking about his pole vaulting, his childhood acquaintance that hunted rabbits with rocks, lucky shed hunters and funny stories.
The video is a nice history of their bowhunting journey that has had a big influence on so many of us.

Anything with Gene and Barry will be top notch. Met them in Jackson Ms back before season. Hopefully they are having a great fall/winter hunting and traveling.
