Title: Wood pattern fiberglass strip.
Post by: Buemaker on October 31, 2025, 12:34:46 PM
I see that 3Rivers Archery sell fiberglass with a wood pattern. 1 1/2 and 1 3/4 inch width and .0050 thickness. Have some tried that yet?

Is it textured with a wood grain etching? I had a limb come out like that one time trying a wood pressure strip. Ende$ up sanding it off.

There is a picture of it on their homepage, but they do not say how it is made.

I just received some. I am not impressed. It is translucent with very little character. It has streaks. It is not sanded. I would bet you could sand the pattern off. My guess is they found a way to make the streaky BP glass marketable. I will use it on a prototype and probably end up painting it.
