Title: Evening sit
Post by: ron w on October 24, 2025, 09:57:55 PM
Did a 3 hour sit this evening, didn't see a thing, but a few crows came by. Very dry here in north Georgia!! Only my second time out this fall. I guess I'm getting old!! Cooler weather is in the forecast so that should help motivate me me I hope.  :campfire:  :coffee:

I like the looks of that saddle.  Looks way more comfortable than a tree stand.

Interesting seat. What do you do if you want to sit somewhere there aren't two trees that close?

Nice country.

Rad: Can easily turn it into a saddle/harness by tying both straps to the same tree.

I have used a crotch in a blowdown a few times, or a fence post and a tree.

Sounds like the deer down here in Macon County Ron.  I took my son out Saturday afternoon and set separate stands for about 4 hours.  We didn't even hear a squirrel chatter. It felt good to be in the woods though. I'm with you on the cooler weather. Good luck in your future sits!
