More details later, but our first run of bows is in transit!
A little more detail:
It has been a frustrating start up....we hoped for 3-4 month lead times, and it turns out to be closer to 9. I communicated with Henry this morning via email. I have the list of the first bows, they are in transit as of TODAY. I will be notifying the folks who's bows are on the way in the next 24 hours.
I also gave Henry an order for 6 more bows, of random weights...I will have these at the Kalamazoo Expo for sale. I might increase that order to 12 depending on feedback.
This delay was something I was worried about, and it is why I didn't take deposits. When I notify the guys on the list, if anyone no longer wants thier bow....no hard feelings. I will post those bows up for sale.
Moving forward, we will certainly take orders, but I intend to keep 6-12 bows on order, and offer them up when they come in.
I appreciate everyones patience. Thanks!
"Startups" are usually always a little behind. Smart decision on not doing deposits until smooth sailing. Roger is as good as they come and I'll be excited to see how this unfolds. Fred was a great traditional archery leader and writer. It's fantastic that this bow is being reproduced. Looking forward to seeing some stories here with successful hunts.
I am very happy to hear the news. I'll be even "happier" when you notify me you're shipping mine!
The new Bighorn Legacy bows, a tribute to G. Fred Asbell have begun shipping. We were hoping for a quicker delivery....but this is worth the wait. I recieved the first 6 bows yesterday, and they are amazing. New orders should be available by January. I did generate 12 new bows of random weights to have for sale at the Kalamazoo Expo. This wouldn't be possible without the help of Henry Bodnick and Tim Cosgrove of Shrew Bows. Even if you are not interested in a Bighorn Legacy, do check out the Shrew Bow line. Quality is impeccable.
Well done, Roger!
